Qualifications and Admissions
LLB (Hons), National University of Singapore (2008)
Admitted as Advocate and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Singapore in 2009.

Brief Background
June joined Tan Peng Chin LLC as a pupil in the Litigation & Dispute Resolution Department in June 2008 and was admitted to the Singapore Bar in July 2009. In her short time with the law corporation thus far, she has had the opportunity to work on civil and commercial litigation matters, as well as matters involving matrimonial law and criminal law. June has shown herself to be an enthusiastic young lawyer, with a keen interest in law and thorough research skills. She hopes to experience a whole range of different areas of practice in her career in law.

Personal
June spent her early years as a nomad, spending time in Japan, Malaysia, Cambodia, Nigeria and finally Kenya. As a result, she speaks a smattering of many languages and hopes that some day, the little that she does know will be able to get herself (or her clients) out of a tight spot anywhere in the world.

June has always believed that lawyers have a moral obligation to bridge the divide between the law and the layperson, and is immensely grateful that the law corporation has always been supportive of her pro bono work. During her time in law school, June was involved in organizing student-led pro bono initiatives and participating in legal clinics, research projects and law awareness campaigns with various Voluntary Welfare Organizations (VWOs) and government bodies. She also spent a fruitful six-week stint with UNIFEM in Laos in June 2008, drafting reports and assisting in the implementation of local laws against rape and domestic violence in rural villages.

While not trying to save the world, June can be found in bookshops or indulging in our two national sports (shopping and eating!)
