When I was still a student in law school, a lawyer in practice told me that I should assess myself after 3 years of legal practice to determine whether or not I was “cut-out” for practice. It has been more than 3 years since I graduated from the National University of Singapore and I thank God that I find myself enjoying lawyering more and more with each passing year.

Some of the factors that have made practice an enriching experience for me:

  • Senior lawyers who are willing to teach

  • Getting "up-close-and personal" with client's business operations, thus allowing me to better appreciate their commercial concerns

  • Fellow lawyers who have shared with me their joys and woes on their private lives or on practice
  • Satisfied clients who have benefited from my services rendered to them

I believe in leading a balanced life. This belief has also helped me to keep in legal practice past the “3-year testing period”. Apart from work, my current interests include bending over the kitchen stove and trying out new food recipes, reading food blogs and playing tennis. I am also involved in teaching the bible to youths at church.
